Some kids are asskissing types and they don't drink, or go to R-rated movies, act shocked when someone cusses, and follow every rule. Mostly they are just trying to show off and are very rare. Then you have the ones that go clubbing, get drunk and act slutty, and choose any type of entertainment that they like, but they have their Watchtower studied for Sunday and made their 70 hours, so its OK. This is probably the most common group. Then you have the kids that do all the "bad" stuff but don't have their lessons studied and don't play fake to impress the old ladies.

Last year, maybe around September they had a "Special" edition of the Awake. Something about science or evolution. There was nothing special about it except it might have said "Special Edition" on the cover. It was just a trick to get the members excited. "oooh, did you hear about the new special Awake? Make sure you get extra copies so everyone can hear this important message. Lets all pioneer this month so the entire territory gets to hear this special information. Boy, the faithful slave know exactly what those in the territory need."

I am confused by that thread. Anyone care to enlighten me? You just post lyrics to songs running through your head? What is the significance of the title of the thread? Does it have something to do with that TV show from the '90s "Beauty and the Beast"? The beast was named Vincent and he lived underground. Is that where the title came from? Can you post any song or is there a theme that I am missing? Please help!

when i came to the realisation that my whole religious upbringing was in question and i was led to this site, i immediately wanted to get involved - i could see that there was a lot of caring, spiritual people here that had created an amazing community and i wanted to be a part of that community (to release some pent up feelings and to maybe help others in some way) but having read that many of you guys lurked for months and in some cases years before you finally posted - i'm intrigued as to why?????

was it selfishness - couldn't bring yourself to commit and be a part of the community, you were just content to observe?

was it laziness?

Do you find Alex Trebek attractive? What does Drew Sagan think about this?

Not particularly. Drew knows I am a goofball anyway. I did a google image search for either Alex Trebek or Jeopardy, I can't remember which one or why but it probably had something to do with my Farher-in-Law because he's always talking about Jeopardy. Anyway, when I did the search that picture was the first one to come up. I thought it was really funny to find a "sexy" picture of Alex Trebek so I saved it on my computer. Then one day I thought, "Why am I keeping this all to myself? Why not share this silliness so that others may be puzzled too?" Thus, it became my avatar.
